Thank you, burchquilts! Glad you mentioned envelopes because I just thought about the little mini tut I did on that back in March and will post it here! I love 3-piece patterns and it's so simple!! From 3" precut squares on the diagonal, it goes together quickly! Here's the little mini-tut:

Thanks everyone also for your lovely comments!!! They encourage me alot! I hadn't done any painting in years and certainly not on fabric!

p.s. I will search for my braid pattern and post it here! Hope to see pics of your envelope quilts!

I am attaching the Basketweave pattern, front and back. You will be using the reverse side. The last piece added needs to be handsewn down until I come up with a better way to do this block. It is challenging but a delight when complete. Have fun with it!!

p.s. the pattern I drew is a variation of the Arabic Lattice block. Here's a pattern of that block for your convenience:

n2 what a great little block with the envelopes/and embelished buttons! Thanks for sharing. Spools is so well accented with the wooden spools, too. G

Thanks everyone sooo much! Yesterday it dawned on me as I looked at the Basketweave pattern that it is wrong. I've made a corrected version. I just went in and erased the 2 numbers. It would not have worked the way I had it and you may have already figured that one out! Thanks!

Here is the correct way to PP Basketweave:

LOVE the wonky spools, but the rest are awesome too.

Thanks everyone! I finally finished Hearts and Flowers and wanted to show you the big fat bumble bee I put between the flowers. The space needed something! Another butterfly was too much so I decided on the bumble bee! I used glitter felt for his antenna!
