It looks like a lot of 30's fabrics. A great quilt. Some one has a smile in Heaven. I bet you are happy you put them together.

Plain unbleached muslin is a good choice for an older quilt backing. It will blend well with the fabrics and be complementary.

Wow! what a treasure! I love vintage fabrics of that era. I have quite a collection and haven't decided how to use them yet. Hmmm, I just might have found the perfect pattern!

Want to show off the prints, not cut them up too much, but also use a large variety.

    Lovely quilt! Thanks for sharing.

I have some flour sack material that matches some of those in your quilt. I too have a stack o' sacks waiting for the perfect pattern. I need to wash them first and am afraid, but I do need to get the flour out of them. At least I think it's flour, a little white cloud appears above the fabric when I plop them on the table. My Grandmother had them in an old paper suitecase, in the shed and gave them to me when she was moving to an assisted living home.

The quilts are absolutely beautiful. The material looks like feedsack material or at least material from the 30's or early 40's.

If someone is going to die and leave something like that, I think they should at least leave a note telling who, what, and when they were made. LOL. It sure would be interesting to know.
