Default Ever bought fabrics that didn't "GO" with the pattern!

I went to a local fabric sale and bought a host of wonderful fabrics, all well known like Moda, Fabric Freedom etc. and I had 4 of which didn't really go with the pattern I wanted and this was them:

So I had a deep "thunk" and explored Quilters Cache and decided on the Woven Ribbon block http://www.quilterscache.com/W/WovenRibbonsBlock.html

I am quite pleased with the result, looks quilt Modern and in your face but I can live with that

I think it is going to be quite a favourite although it is outside my comfort zone

It is beautiful. I love the bright colors and the black makes it pop.
