I worked on this on for 5 days but only a few hours each day. I had the hardest time following the intructions and was ready to pull my hair out.
I finally went online and found the friendship bag pattern and followed the last part of that pattern so I could get this complete.
My DD is a penguin fanatic. She wanted the bag big and wanted the straps long. She kept watch over me all day just hoping I would get it done today. LOL!!

Well, whatever it takes to make it work even if you use more than one pattern! Your bag turned out very nice and looks like DD is proud of it! I also had trouble with understanding the pattern when I made my first bag! Once I understood it, though, it was really quite simple!
