Thanks to everyone who voted on a border and for all the nice comments about the quilt. I decided to go with the one with fewer dots. I'll post a picture of the completed top soon.

Love the look of the more colourful border, the one on the right. Gorgeous!

First one with fewer dots. The other one takes away from the nice blocks. Looks like it is going to be a really awesome quilt.

Here is a photo of the quilt top with the border. I am happy that I used the less busy fabric.

    Hi,

    Your quilt came out lovely!

I just came across this posting. I was going to comment to use both. I thought using the right one with a small border followed by a larger (left side fabric) border but I'm too late, sorry.

What are you going to use for the binding? You might be able to use the other fabric choice for that if you don't have enough of the outside border fabric. Just a thought.

I probably won't be the one doing the binding. I made the quilt for Camp Reach for the Sky which does quilts for kids with cancer. Our group meets at a LQS and makes tops and we also make some at home. They are turned in and matched up with backs and then sent to long arm quilters to be quilted. When it comes back they pick a binding and someone binds it, but not necessarily me.

Turned out beautifully, the more sparse dots pick out the colours of the sashings. Someone's going to love this one!
