Sewnbyme -- great job. I have wanted to try this for ever so long. I see Marilyn Belford is offering a class Oct.1st. Is this something that a beginner could handle? Also is PhotoXprss absolutely necessary? I have several books but have been afraid to try it on my own. The only thing holding me back is money -- I just bought a expensive serger and took a online class at Pattern Review so wouldn't you know I am cash strapped at the minute. Hopefully it will be offered again this year.

I got her book for Christmas and it looked hard so I took the class...it is not the easiest technique. You might want to start off with "Makink Faces" by Maria Elkins. You only need four fabrics, some kind of photo editing software and the DVD....Just take it slow...I gathered my items, one every week or two until I had all I needed...let me know if I can help...

Your portraits are absolutely awesome. Because of you I just went to Amazon and ordered her book. Who knows what next. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work.
