Wow! What a perfect place to store fabric. I am going to start looking at the thrift stores for one of those. Wish I could use the one in my dining room, but my husband would faint! Just like he did when I said I wanted to make the master bedroom my sewing room, and the 4th bedroom the master bedroom. I keep working on him, but he isn't budging!

This is what I did, and it works great! I am able to store so much in it. :)

I bought a used "homemade" computer table. The top is 24" X 36" and I put a cutting mat over it. It has a slide-out shelf that my ironing pad sits on. There is room for eight 10" X 16" plastic storage boxes (my UFO's) where you would put your feet, there is a drawer on the right to store notions and a cupboard under the drawer that will accomodate 4 smaller containers for fat quarters. I need to look for more storage for my stash...it is stacked all over the place and in baskets and boxes! Can't use my china hutch, it has my great Aunt Cora's Haviland china in it!
