We took a little mini vacation in the Finger Lakes and I got to meet Barnbum and all her wonderful mini horses and the fantastic miracle dog Buddy! Karla took me to two of her favorite Mennonite Shops and I went a little crazy. The prices were too good to pass up for name brands like Hoffman, Moda, P&B, Kona Bay. I ended up buying 31 1/2 yards of fabric at one Mennonite shop, 3 yards of which were 108" wide back for only 5.25 per yard and 17 1/2 yards at the other. If that wasn't enough the next day while out riding with DH and DB I stumbled on another quilt shop and bought another 14 yards and a couple of beautiful Geisha panels. Thank you Barnbum for a wonderful day of memories, fun and bargains!

So cool to hear you got to visit with another QB member. Sounds like you had a great time and found quite a bargain! :)

Barnbum drove and she took all back roads. The two Mennonite shops I couldn't tell you what the names were. Perhaps barnbum will post and disclose. The 3rd shop I stumbled on was in Hammondsport at the south end of Keuka Lake (Lovely, my favorite lake!) The shop was Lake Country Patchwork. Wonderful shop with tons of Asians prints and a very wonderful charming proprietress. She made me very happy that day.

Oh yay, she FINALLY posted. I've been itching to post one of these photos. FF and I had so much fun!! She treated me to a delicious lunch in Penn Yan between shops. It felt like we'd been friends a long time. I ended up with 31.25 yards that averaged $6.21 a yard.

Here's what I added from shopping with feline and others I've purchased in the last few weeks. I took photos of it all before washing everything. I've kind of been on a spree.
