This design was from dhanke (on this QB) for a beautiful quilt she had done. I asked her if I could be inspired by it (notice I DID NOT say COPY) and she graciously agreed.

The Princes fussy cuts were a little challenging - I had to cut the fabric lengthwise - into four stips - the fussy cuts came to 6 x 8 inches. For the light purple center block with the dark purple strips - the center is 4 inch square, with two sides being 4 inches and the top and bottom being 6 inches. The 'Warm Wishes' style stripes - the pink and yellows are 2 inches and the purple center is 3 inches. Makes a 6 inch 'stripe' and they are cut 8 inches long The stripes that go with the corner blocks - the are same width for the colors, but they are cut 6 inches. The top is for a double bed. I have 24 Princes panels, one yd each of pink and yellow is sufficient, 2/3 yd of the little purple center is good, if that is all you are going to use it for, though I may decide to do a border with it as well. Since I have 2 yards of it, I have plenty if I decide to do that. You should plan on 2-1/3 though for good measure you may want to get 2.5 yds of the 'background'. I am going to use that for the binding as well.

Oh very nice! I have Princess fabric too and have been trying to figure out a pattern. May I copy you? (they say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery)

Please be inspired if you must!!!! I am very appreciative that dhanke allowed me to imitate her. And if you have any questions, I am sure we both can help you.

I love the quilt! I like the way you set the blocks together. Very pretty.

Well, we stopped about 4:30 for some dessert and coffee - chocolate no less.....I washed and dried all the fabric, started working on it about 7pm. I have a hard time sleeping, it was 2:30am before I was tired enough to finally get to bed. Don't be jealous, I really am sleep deprived.
