    I think it looks fine. Maybe you could hide some of the orange by appliqueing some fall leaves in the orange squares. Make it look even more fall'ish!

    I was also thinking of maybe applique some leaves on some of the orange to soften it, if you don't like the bright orange. It really is pretty and you are doing such a great job. Do finish it and give it to someone who will appreciate it, but I bet you will like it more when it is completed.
