Oh my goodness! Ya'll are just the greatest encouragers around! I sure hope he likes it. At least it will keep him busy looking at all the different blocks for a while. He is very technical and will try to de-code every single block. LOL

Karla, I will try to remember to snap a pic of how the rows go together today so you can see how easy they are to sew together. I'm on dial up so I won't post it till Monday.

I like the purple border idea and might just try that. The thing I have found with these is you can't really get a color read till they are altogether. Especially when I have worked on pink ones. So I always wait to audition colors till the end.

Here you can see how the rows are pieced together. No Y seams at all.

    billswife99..........love your screen name !!!!!!

does your hubby go by _____shubby ???????

back to your quilt....is this a "one block wonder" ?
I have the book and bought some fabric for trying it but have not gotten the courage to start it. I believe that I need a class or two and then proceed.

I love the look of the "wonder" pattern and hope soon to find someone giving a workshop on this pattern.

I'm sure that your Dad will love and cherish it since it will be from you.

MJ it is a One Block Wonder. I read the book thru several times before I tried it. You can do it!

And no, hubby doesn't use my name in his screen name. He is quite the talker and I'm pretty quiet so people always call me that in person. Hey, you're Bill's wife aren't you? LOL So it just came naturally.

    billswife99...............lololol....

Years ago, I ran for office in our local town and my hubby wore a T-shirt with
    .................."I'm Mary Jane's husband"...............

Don't know if it got me any votes but it sure got a lot of laughs...

    I did win..so who knows??????
