    This is the quilt I made for my friend for Christmas. She loves fall & they are in the tree business so I thought it was a good choice. I started out with a pattern from McCalls quilting that had pumpkins & 9 patches & the leaves, but didn't think that looked like her. So after some trial & error (lots of error!) this is what I came up with.

    I am getting better at freehand FMQ & did these leaves in the border.
