    Love your fall colors. I plan to make placemats and kitchen-window toppers for summer (using 'summery' fabrics)
    How much fabric did you use for the toppers? Did you line them and if so, did you use the same fabric for lining?

    I did line the valance with the same material. I just measured the width of the window and then tripled it. For the runner and place mats I lined them in the same fabric as the gold on the bottom of the valance and I quilted the runner and mats in a diagonal box pattern with batting in between. I used Simplicity #5530 for the runner and mats. It calls for almost 3 yards but not sure if that included the lining. Hope this helps.
