    I wanted to maintain the integrity of the rail fence so appliqueing the leaves later just seemed necessary. Then using varigated thread showed them off. I'm glad you like this quilt.

    I love the way the leaves are scattered and sewn after the quilt is together. I also love your color scheme. Beautiful!
