    Default Fancy Folded Star

I got this pattern from Moda Bake Shop - http://www.modabakeshop.com/2011/09/...ot-holder.html and decided I wanted to make one for my MIL. Moda labels this as an "Ambitious" level. Indeed it was because of operator error! After many errors due to enlarging the pattern without thinking (and adusting the size of the pieces and lots of miscuts), I finally figured it out! I haven't put my binding on it yet as I will leave it up to MIL as to what she wants this to be: a wallhanging, tabletopper or pillow. My guess is she will have it framed (based on past history of quilted wallhangings I have made for her) so I will probably go ahead and put the binding on it. I am going to use the purple and gold fabric that is closest to the edge.

Who would have thought that this jumbled mess could turn into this!!! The last picture is of the fabrics that I used.

Oh my goodness! This is gorgeous. And just my colors! You did a great job on choosing and arranging those fabrics/colors.

I've seen one done with 4 colors, but with 8 colors, it is absolutely beautiful! I'm giving that a try.

I REALLY need to make one of those! I keep seeing them, and they are just beautiful! They scare the be-jeezes out of me though...
