I fell in love with this quilt when I saw a few pictures on-line and just had to have the book! The book came in the mail Monday but I had company from out of town. They left Tuesday and by noon I was in the car for the fabric stores! I came home, washed and pressed the fabric (because it was a cheaper quality from Hobby Lobby) and Wednesday made the first four blocks. Went back to the store Wednesday and Thursday for more fabric (this time high-qualiy from the quilt shop) and have fallen in love with the Kansas Trouble prints. Last night I made blocks five through seven and have block eight cut out. What do you think of the colors so far? I know...I might need to add a few more colors for variety...a girl can never have too many colors to choose from! I'm making my corner set triangles with a light tan print and the sashing and border a navy print rather than browns.

PS If anyone plans to make this quilt, you should join the yahoo group named for the quilt. They have loads of pictures but more importantly they have files for making paper-pieced versions, and files to print out all squares for each block on one sheet rather than one template per sheet!

Thank you! I didn't realize they were here! I'm still new and still discovering the resources on this site!
