I hurried up to start this quilt for my boss' retirement on Tuesday. Found out last night a family member passed away so I am leaving in the morning. I have never put together a quilt so quickly. It must have been good "karma" and lots of luck.

My boss has dedicated his life to kids with developmental disabilites, he looks like Santa Claus, and he always stars in the local production of The Wizard of Oz. He retired from the school system 10 years ago with a big celebration. This time, he asked for an intimate party. I found the quote in the movie and it seemed fitting. Unfortunately, I will not be there to see him receive it. Hope for pix though.
