It is so nice to hear good things about the quilt. I really like it. The reason I am sorry for the red strip is that I just thought it looked to brazen for the front and the main thing is that it is crooked. I didn't get the backing pinned on straight. I thought I did and didn't notice it until I took the picture. There is always some booboo on my quilts but I just carry on and keep on sewing.

I'd be happy to take this quilt off your hands - I think it's lovely! Even though you don't like the back, I think it makes for a fully reversible quilt, with the back showing a modern clean side for summer. It would look great on my red-framed bed.
