    I love the 301A. I use mine a lot, great little machine and it has real value as a collectable too.

    You may want to reconsider selling that - at least give it a chance to show off before you do!
    The feed dogs drop and it's a GREAT machine for stippling!

    You can get a darning foot at Hancocks = a generic slant-needle foot for cheap.

    It uses regular needles and works fantastic with cotton thread (these old machines LOVE cotton thread)

    You can also pick up some bobbins at Hancocks - as others have said, it uses the same bobbins as the Featherweight.

    I have a beige/tan one like this....from the '50's...my mom used to make our clothes with it. It still sews great!

    I love the 301. In fact I gave up my FW and bought the 301. It's gear driven rather than belt so it's more powerful. It has a larger throat too. The dogs drop so it's great for FMQ too.
