Thanks everyone. I think I am ready to applique now. Let the pieces fall where they may!
Judi, yes the tails will be a tad thinner when done. I actually went and looked and they do look pretty darn fat. LOL

Feline fanatic, that cat is a stray that someone dropped off as a kitten and I was the lucky one to find him. I think he is probably part maine coone and part farm cat but her is beautiful and has the prettiest blue eyes. I like your imagination - if anyone criticises the placement I will just say those darn cats!!!

I think it is great and worth finishing. To me it looks fine the way it is, but by now you probably have decided to leave it or change it - I don't think you could go wrong with it any which way.

    Bailey,
Love it. Where DID you find the cat shapes. My home LQS is the Black Cat and I'm aon lookout for interesting outlines for shops own patterns to stitch and applique.
Do not change a thing. and keep goig.
Quilting is much more interesting now than 20 yrs ago.

The cats are from "Stairway To Heaven" a pattern by McCalls.
Thank you for the encouragement. I really think I will get this one finished! Starting the OBW today - I think.

How could you even "wonder" if it is "worth" finishing?

I think it is just lovely and the applique flowers and kitty take from being "ho...hum" to quite spectacular.

I also think the placement is just right (of the appliques), it feels very balanced to me.

(and if you really don't like it, send it to me and I'll give it a good home!!!!!!!)
