I have used this patter for 3 or 4 baby quilts. I did a 3x3 layout. One was from a 1930's repro jelly roll one was from scraps from other 30's jelly rolls, one just scraps of repro fabric and the other, I can't remember. all turned out beautiful and made a large baby quilt that a child could use beyond babyhood. Like the pattern, showy and just a little care keeping the set strips going in the correct direction, easy peesy! Rail Fence Stars I think was the name. A quick search will bring it up.

I really like your version of the MSQC pattern. Their pattern looks to busy for my liking but your addition of the sashing really brings this to life.

Great use of scraps. Just saw Jenny in Lehi, Utah and she showed that block and many others. It was a fabulous trunk show.

What a great idea - love your colors! Another tip for my "gotta get rid of these orphaned strips" file.
