I hope you have time - and an empty suitcase - to shop for some fabric. I used to go to Mumbai specifically to buy solid color cotton when my DH was a PanAm capt and I could fly free. Mmmmmmmmm delicious colors! Worth the trouble of setting the dyes when I got home!

I also bought super-cheap spices and chutneys. Even more delicious!

Eddie, you're going to have a super prize winner here when this is finished! These blocks are soooo original and when you've finished the entire quilt, I know it will be spectacular! You go, guy!

So bautiful. Don't know if I would have the patience to do the had work but maybe with the machine.

I love your work as always. You are wise to take "hand work" with you on these trips, so much better than sitting in front of a tv after work. Cannot wait to see the finished product. How many blocks will you need?
