    Thanks! Can't claim the selvedge idea as mine! I was inspired by a book by Karen Griska 'Quilts from the Selvage Edge'! She also has a blog www.selvageblog.blogspot.com .

    So funny, just last night I decided I HAD to try out that 10 min block pattern too! It is so affective, love what you are doing, well done :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
    Never been a great fan of 'Bow Tie' but loved doing this block!! went together really quickly. I have a layer cake I think I might use and do it again! These squares were slightly less than 5", bit fiddly! Think I might do another couple of borders on it yet.

    I like how it looks like a cathedral window in the centre Hilary, it's very effective!

    Love those bow ties Hil - still using paper books myself at this stage and resisting the urge to kindle, but I love your use of selvages. And a big thanks and well done for supporting our troops.

    Thanks Kathryn!! I don't 'kindle' but made one for my sister!!! Both my sons are career Soldiers so it's my way of supporting their colleagues!
