The kids quilts I started this time last year intending them for Christmas gifts for the nieces and nephews (4 girls and 2 boys). I got 3 of them done in time in between a trip to HI before hubby deployed and an emergency trip to MO to visit my stepfather before he passed away from lung cancer. Here are pics of the 3 I just finished handsewing the binding to and a fun little wall hanging I did to take a break from the bigger projects. It's my first time doing dresdens!

What a schedule. Thanks for serving our country, by taking care of your family while your hubby is busy serving.
So appreciate all you and your husband does for us.
sorry to hear of the lose of your Step father, I lost my dad with lung cancer too. :(

Thank you Sue! I think it was the fastest deployement due to so much going on and he was gone from Aug-June!
Buenie, that is my favorite as well! I was tempted to keep it for myself.

A very busy schedule. They say that busy hands get things done.....so true! These are lovely quilts and I sure the children will love them immensely.
My thanks to your husband for his service to our country and for your support. I know it is rough on you. As the mother of one son and 3 grandsons serving in the army, I know how it can keep a family on edge.
Sorry for the loss of your stepfather.

Kat, all three are actually the Disappearing 9 Patch. Tyler's and Emmy's were made using Moda Charm packs I purchased from Charmpacksplus and Abby's I had the fabric in my stash ( I almost cried using it but that's what a stash is for right?!).
Thank you, ladypetite!

I thought that's what it was. I didn't even realize the other two were done using that method until you said it!!! LOL! I might have to give this a whirl. Thank you for sharing your great work!!!
