Maybe someone who lives in the Southwest will know.

I saw this fabric on Alexander Henry's site http://www.ahfabrics.com/products.php?cat_id=1307 and was hoping someone could explain what is going on here.

Is it a "Day of the Dead" celebration?

It's a day for celebrating your ancestors. Some cultures don't fear death or the dead. They have feasts and even take food to the cemetary and have picnics "with" their past relatives.

Fiesta San Marcos is not the same. http://www.festivalpig.com/Feria-De-San-Marcos.html

I guess Alexander Henry got it wrong then, if you click on the above link, then click on the fabric pic, the 2nd fabric screen states "fiesta san marcos"... sorry, not my ideal.
    Thanks though, for the clarification.

I've got some Day of the Dead fabric but that stuff there is down right freaky. I'll have to get a picture. Mine is bright and festive with happy skeltons plays maracas and bongos and having fun. This stuff looks like some El Muertos tattoos I've seen. Mexican Gang stuff. (Iwork with inter-city teens)

San Marcos=Saint Mark is a spring festival. Kind of pre-planting season fair and livestock show and sale
