Final Stars in My Garden, and updated blog
#54
Thanks for all the nice comments and your encouragement!
Let's see if I can answer all the questions.
The block is a block pattern out of a book that I got from one of my customers. I liked her quilt so much I decided to use it for this. I'll try to find out the name of the book, but as I recall, there were NO instructions on how to put this together or the amount of fabric needed.
The quilting is freehanded, no pattern, and yes, I quilted it, too.
The coloring is done using Pigma pencils, then sealed. The exact supply list, with pictures, is on my blog. You may have to go back a few posts (maybe February?), but they are there. Now, just because it's sealed, I wouldn't be putting this in the washer and dryer, but I don't do that with my quilts anyway. I did do some tests with the washer and dryer, so it seems to be colorfast when done.
Some people have been having problems linking to the blog. If you're having problems, try this:

And no, it isn't hard to part with the quilt. The Alumni Association has really helped a lot of kids, including my own, with scholarship help for college. The hard part is to come up with an idea for next year's quilt. They've been building their reunion theme around the quilt. No pressure!
