Your post gave me goose bumps (affirmation).

Both of you ladies are extraordinary women. Your dil for love of her children, and you for the love and recognition of family.

And, you created and amazing life gift.

    Best to you all,
    deb in Maine

How wonderful of you to let her know that her efforts are so appreciated and loved. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. She must be mighty special as well to realize that his life will be so enriched by her efforts.

Beautiful quilt and beautiful, blessed family. That quilt will be the source of comfort and inspiration for many years to come. Great job.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I had a lot of fun making the quilt...so many people helped in the process. Several ladies came and dug through my stash (all but the black was stash fabric) and determined I had far too many greens, not enough reds, etc. and convinced me I should use prints instead of all solids/blenders. I am blessed to have a wonderful support group! I got sick and hospitalized in the process, so wasn't a Christmas gift option, so her b-day is Jan 16th and that became the goal. A good friend offered to long arm it and I was able to get it bound before that date. I would hate to have not had it finished! The font I used was built in to VIking Diamond, so not sure which one, but I had to alter the "I" as it looked too much like a J. Still wasn't thrilled with that letter, but it was all good. I tend to stress about the little things and miss the big picture. I am thrilled she liked it and she did say she would use it! THanks again for all the lovely sentiments!

That was a wonderful thing you did, making her that quilt, and it's a wonderful thing she's doing, making her child's wellbeing a priority.

Beautiful quilt, wonderful daughter-in-law and an exceptional mother-in-law. Your grandson is so lucky to have such a family. Thank you for sharing.

OK! It's beautiful. I had to reach for tissues! She's pretty lucky herself to have a mother-in-law like you also. Parents who have special needs children have the utmost inner strength any one can have.
