I finally did some re arranging today. I move some stuff out of the extra bedroom and moved my sewing stuff in. I think I will be much more comfortable than when I had to lug things from this room to the dining room.

I also went to see my aunt yesterday. Talk about my lucky day! She gave me a ton of fabric - all togehter at least 30 yards, books, and the best a serger! One of the older heavy duty metal ones. I was suprised when the foot pedal was not plastic!! She is very crafty and although she has 10 kids of her own, none are into sewing at all. I totally lucked out with the hobby!

Here are pictures of my new room - sorry no before pictures - but it was more of an office before, and the things my aunt gave me yesterday.

I love lighting - so some are taken without flash. I also collect elephants so those are what the little lamps on the desk are.

Window - sure it looks out to the neighbors house - but at least it is a window :)

My hiding spot for my thread - I also got that from my aunt!

Your room looks great and the things your aunt sent home with you are fantastic. Have fun!

Great space! Not only do you have a window (I suffer from window envy), you have a place to take a nap when you get carried away on a sewing bing!

Everything looks so nice!! I was surprised how well a computer desk works for a sewing desk. Good thinking on that one! But, if I can give a little sadvice???? Best if you put a little curtain over your fabric bookcase so the sun and light from the window doesn"t cause fading. The quilt I made for my hubby's bed , off to the side of a window that got afternoon sun, faded out on just the top corner near the window. So don't take the chance!!

Congratulations on having your own space. It looks wonderful. I find my guest bed as a great place to begin placing blocks. Enjoy!
