Default Finally - Andy's Star Sample quilt

It's been about two years in the making... and lots of other projects got pushed through ahead of this one.

But at long last, my son's Star Sampler quilt is ready to go off to the long-armer.

He chose the colors to match his room. (It's not his room that's shown in the picture.) I had planned to make it all plaids and stripes (more masculine, you know) but couldn't stand how busy an effect that gave, so I incorporated a few solids/blenders/mini prints to tone it down.

He doesn't care for the aqua bits (ew, Mom, what's that GREEN doing in there?) but I think the variation in color adds greater depth. He'll just have to tune those ones out. :-)

Fabulous. I like the aqua in it. The wait builds character and patience. Good job.

Very nice quilt, almost looks like shading on some blocks. He'll love it!
