I use warm and natural 100 percent cotton. I bought it by the roll and used my 50 percent off at Joanns. The roll seems to be lasting forever...well worth it. You should have seen my husbands face when I bought that big box of batting through the door.

My JoAnn's only carries it at 90" wide. What do you do when you have a larger quilt, which I often do when making it for my queen bed.

I just lay the batting next to each other and do a zigzag stitch to sew them together....works perfect I also do that to my scrap pieces. No issues works and feels the same and no waste.
