Lovely. I'm having the hardest time picking fabric for a man's quilt, as I have no scraps to work from. I've mostly stuck with green, after seeing this I think I shall go audition some browns... I normally can't stand them, but they work together so well here.

Go and get yourself some cheap men's shirts at the OP shop and combine this material with some plain material. Some of those bits were made out of shirt sleeves I had cut out of my hubby's shirts as he mainly wears short sleeves - being sooo hot here in Australia

I don't have books, I look at quilts here on the board and I figure out how to combine some patterns with scrap material I have at hand, maybe add some plain matching material. Good luck with your try!!!

    Default Construction of blocks

It's very easy and quickly done. Here are a few pictures. I just took one small block, combined the colours to then sew 4 blocks together. Just be careful how you sew them together, I had to unpick as I had noticed one block looked like a swastika.... so make sure before you pin it together and finish it that all your rectangles/colours go in the right direction Good luck!!! And I'm looking forward to see your quilt Ahhh and don't ask me the name of the block, we made it at our quilting group and I just never asked.....
