My heart goes out to your sister and her loss. The daughter of a dear friend and her husband had a similar situation happen to them. However, another little girl who needed lots and lots of love came into their lives as a foster child and ended up being adopted by them. It's a joy to see how she is thriving in a wonderful home atmosphere. They are now foster parents to 2 yr. old twin boys. They have the patience of Job and I greatly admire them for taking those little boys into their home. I believe the quilt was made for Noah and how appropriate.

A few years after Annie, they again tried an open adoption. The teen mother took one look at her baby boy and couldn't let him go. Then, the adoption agency called and said they had half brothers ages 5 and 2. They took the boys and suddenly had an instant family. A couple of years later they foster parented her sister in law's 3 little boys for several years. 5 little boys, each a year apart. Now the boys are all grown up, the youngest one is in college, and her oldest adopted son has a son and a daughter, so my sis is a grandma. She turned 50 this year and still looks like a kid herself. I think she's a saint!

Oh my, what a terrible thing to go through and how difficult that must have been for you and your sister. Your story brought tears to my eyes and I am so glad you were able to use your quilt for this sweet little boy. I wish you much happiness and joy and am so glad you shared your story. Hugs!
