I've been working on this quilt since nearly January, and a number of things came up and prevented me from finishing it in the time I expected. But it was finally finished and given to the intended recipient (he's 11 and it was made from some of his deceased father's shirts).

Making the quilt was hard; the design is fairly simple, but emotionally, it was hard. The pattern came off of allpeoplequilt.com and is called "Stars and Trees".

The smaller quilt was made from the scraps for his mother; it measures about 14" by 16", I think.

They are really beautiful. I am sure they will both treasure these precious quilts made with a loving hand. Thanks for sharing them....

I'm not sure how the boy will feel about it, but I know his mother was very touched.

Real neat. My sister is suppose to be sending me some of her now deceased husbands tee shirts and family pictures to make a memory quilt. Never made one before. I have some idea of what I want to do. Have to write it down and draw it out.
