Thanks - no I don't belong to any quilt or sew groups - would like to, but so far the ones around here are too far. I live in Marietta, Georgia.

Yes I agree, the cd tower was a perfect idea -- I'm "gloating" because it took me months of "thinking" (I was just about giving up on any ideas) and then searching for something like this, and I absolutely love it. Plan on refolding all those fat quarters and putting them in order next week, or the week after - I want to play some now.

This Tuesday I am definitely going to do some binding and making a border for a John Deere fruit embroidery designs quilt that I am making. I'm really happy with it so far as this is the first time I ever did puffing - did that for the sashing. Am anxious to see it all done.

Have been machine embroidering for 10 years and quilting for about 3 years now. Just do things for family and myself.

Brilliant! A woman after my own heart, I love to be organised too and as I only have a teeny tiny room at the moment, I HAVE to be! And I LOVE the CD tower idea! I will definitely be copying you (if you don't mind!) at some point in the future. Oh , re the FQ folding, wasn't there a thread on here a while back? I'll go look..

Here you go - I guess you'd have to be sure they ended up the right size for your CD tower http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-41177-1.htm Otherwise, you could maybe modify the technique to fit. I like this method because the ends are tucked neatly in! :-D

Good job!! I have tons of fabric, books and quilt magazines. Also lots of other sewing "stuff." Thanks for the ideas you have shared. Maybe some day mine will look at least half that neat.

I would say you deserve a ribbon for 'most effective use' of closet space. Wow!
