    Wonderful and what great pictures. Maybe you could go to a garage sale and pick up a less expensive machine for him to start on?

    I started my dgd hand sewing at 4 and at 5 she got a Simplicity Sew Precious that only lasted one project but she is 11 now and is advancing to sewing garments.

    After some instructions about going up and down he went from flower to flower by himself. Its an embroidery needle without point btw.
    I would have an old machine for him but I am too scared to let him use it yet. He most probably would not be able to sort his fingers and one foot for the power..........time for that will come. In the meantime he will learn to make shapes or even attach little scrabs to the fabric by hand.
