I love the fall of the year and only Cmas superceeds it in excitement and pure joy of course because of Jesus birthday celebration. I am quilting a wall hanging just now, about half done I will post a pic soon. Thank you for all the kind remarks, guys, I dont feel i deserve them tho,. For me quilting and crafting are so vitally necessary for my well being I am just grateful for the opportunity to do these. All things considered it IS pretty cheap therapy!! tee hee and it gives me an avenue to show love to so many people with hand made ,heart felt gifts!! Mighty good arrangement!!

The Harvest Quilt with crows and scarecrows is actually a compilation type quilt.I did lots of fussy cutting and then made my own patterns I could not find on a preprinted panel, mixed them all in and arranged what I wanted to fill an 8 ft long wall space. I collected the different panels over a 2 or 3 year period nd then went thru my stash for pcs to duplicate what I wanted to add. I machine appliqued all the pcs and machine quilted it. I took the "pants" from one scarecrow and split them , saved some of the original background fabric from the panels and painted it to add fullness for the skirt. I named the scarecrows Mr A W Shucks and the girl is Miss Corney Jokes.I made up the crows because I saw lots of Heckyl and Jeckyl when I was a kid. It was lots of fun to make.
