Default Finally made a quilt per pattern and fabric

Well, it was a first - and I have to say I missed the design anxiety and fabric anxiety but it looks good. Tavern Blues, Paula Barnes, and pattern offered free from mfgr. by Nancy Rink. I can learn as much from patterns as I can from DIY.

I made up what I think is my best machine quilting yet - wiggly lines following the ropy braid on the stripes.

It is for my DD's sweetheart who is recovering from a horrific bike accident. I did it with a light poly batting so it would not weigh down his legs in bed or in his wheelchair. Soon he will be walking again. He is a classic, conservative guy and he loves the quilt.

I can see why he loves it, it's gorgeous. Love the colors and will have to try this pattern soon.

    Very nice.
Your display of the quilt is very 'magaziney' - good photo.

Some quilts are so classic that you just have to follow the original. This looks great.
