Duh Me! You know what I was thinking. Tubes! For some reason I was thinking that we had to put these into a tube before we cut. OMG sometimes my brain leaves my body. LOL! :))

Well, I am not good in math at all. I truly do not understand how to do this type of quilt and would really like to make one. I want to make mine in blues. I like what you have started :)

I just finished mine Aurora Borealis last month. I did it in Turquoise and Purple. I did a posting on the board. Have you come across a problem that you are stuck or have you finished it and not posted it yet?? I had two sets 1-11 were turquoise and 12-20 were purple. I made a copy of the Design Chart on page #23. You could use crayons or colored pencils to color in your colors so it will be easier to see what color goes where. There is some unsew and she does reverse the fabrics in the center and also twice on the outside rows. You really do need some place close to your sewing machine to layout the quilt. I laid out half the quilt using the major sections that were in order as sewn then began filling in the custom sections. If you haven't done a Bargello before, this could be a little confusing. I HOPE that it hasn't become a UFO. Please don't hesitate to send me a PM with any question. I STILL need to find time to put the borders on mine. I am disable and home bound and I do enjoy helping others with Bargello quilts. I am doing the table runner from the book in bright primary colors so I am anxious to see your quilt finished. BEST WISHES

The name of this book is "Twist & Turn Bargello Quilts" that has another quilt called SURF SONG. The example is all in shades of Blue. It is also a little simpler without have to do any unstitching. There is someone on the board who posted this pattern and the fabrics she is using for her quilt. I think it was called SURF and TURF because she is doing it in blues for the water and shades of brown for the beach. Just wanted you to know. The Aurora Borealis quilt is normally done with 2 colors. I found this quilt fascinating because I am planning to make the table runner in bright colors like the colors in this quilt. That pattern is also found in the same book. It is the ONLY book I have every bought where I want to make ALMOST ALL the quilts in the book.

Such a beautiful color selection you made...It's a little confusing at the beginning but then it goes pretty smoothly...I'm doing a double heart that I'm in the middle of.
