Default Finally working on a SAS

Here is my first attempt at a SAS block. I think I’ll try to pace myself to x number of blocks a week otherwise I feel overwhelmed and tend to procrastinate.

Love the fabrics, will look fantastic when done. Love Storm at Sea quilts.

Nice job on all those points! One tip I'll pass along that I learned the hard way with my SAS--if you want that circular look once all the blocks put together you will need to not double the outside diamond & corner units--otherwise it just comes out looking more like a star quilt. I ended up having to rip out lots of seams!

Looking good so far. Good idea to not let your mind get overwhelmed.

Great start! I agree with shorttimer. Think of the diamond & small SIS as sashing & corner stones.
