    The pattern is called Sunburst and is in Quiltcom 2016 magazine.

    This is the kind of design my son would like. I'm sure your stepson will love it. It may not be your choice in colors, but it is very effective, and he will be touched that you went to all the trouble to make it to his liking. Terrific work!
