After many (many many) hours, I have finally finished my Hill Country Spring quilt! Just in the nick of time to give it to my friend who is getting married! I posted about the fabric a few months ago, asking for suggestions for quilt design.
I had a jelly roll and a charm pack, so I made 9-patch blocks and bordered them with some lovely white on white in a similar 'bandana/paisley' type prints that is in some of the fabrics in this collection. I used my Husqvarna Viking Ruby to quilt an embroidery design (made for quilting) onto each block plus along the border. Ended up being 125 separately hooped, measured, aligned and stitched designs! But I think it turned out ok. It is my first quilt on this machine. I have completed one other on my Kenmore (kind of stitch in ditch with deco stitches, which I will post later) and I have completed a top for my daughter that remains unquilted while I did the Hill Country one.
So here goes a few pics...
I will try to post some showing the stitchwork..

close up of paisley stitch on white-on-white bandana/paisley print (thread ends not buried yet)

I love your quilt and the quilting is simply stunning! I have a very old Husqvarna Viking which is about 30 years old that I inherited from my mom and I think that they are the best machines! It was the very first model that could sew alphabets. Love the Huskies!
