    the background squares, giraffes & bears are all flannel, the flowers, turtles, birds and stars are batiks. i have a really nice buttery soft yellow minkie for the backing, but the jury is still out if i use it or find something different- as i finish stitching all the appliques hopefully i will make up my mind....oh ya- also, this was all done with scraps- haven't had to spend any money yet on those shower gifts.
