Finished Grandma's Walker Bag
#13
My first thought -- "Oh, isn't that the nicest bag I've seen!" I've seen so many bags with all the bow tucks and I've been tempted to jump on the band wagon even though I don't need another bag and can't imagine who I'd give one to. But this one---I know a lot of people who would really enjoy and use this one. Is there a pattern or is it your original design? Care to share a tute if it's yours?
Thanks for showing it. Your embroidery puts that personal touch to it. She is surely not to misplace it.

I did a couple modifications to the pattern on this website: http://sewing.about.com/od/healthbea.../walkerbag.htm
My grandma had a stroke so she doesn't have good enough use of her hand to open a button. So, in the main compartment of the bag, I put a magnetic closure instead. I also widened the bottom straps to fit the D-rings that I had better. I also added the appliques and embroidery which aren't on the original pattern.
I just started this yesterday, so it is a quick project with very useful results.
