    ROTFL!!!! For his sister...who will be 2 at the time of his birth...I didn't know how to quilt at the time and so I crocheted and knitted blankets, made a quillow, upteen softie toys, dresses galore...lol! Looks like I've got a pattern started here, huh?! ha! And get this...before she was born...I barely knew how to use the sewing machine!!! Having had 3 boys...I saw no need to sew for them...nor did I really have the time. Now that I'm not working, I've made peace with my sewing machine...and we work fairly well together! ;-)

    No, but I just got back from Hobby Lobby and purchased some embroidery thread. One is the regular kind and the other is even thicker than that. I'll have to see which works the best I guess.

    your applique is perfect, covers the hole beautifully and looks like it was meant to be there. Good job. Love the softee too
