Well, I finished and washed the new little baby quilt. Ask my kids how amazing this is...it's already done and the baby's not due until October! The baby shower is in August...but I'm still way ahead of schedule...so not like me! ;-)

After asking y'all what to do about a tiny hole in the quilt...I decided to do an applique over it just to make sure it would wear well...even though I did use fusible on the back of the hole first.
I may still add a few more just for fun...but I don't think I need to, really. The quilt's so busy the little patch won't be noticed much...at least not by a small child!

But I went a step further...decided to make a softie elephant to go with one of the characters in the quilt. Nice touch, huh?! Just need to get some strong embroidery thread or something like that to sew the eyes and it'll be all done! Thanks so much for all your collective help with all stages of this quilt! This makes my 4th completed quilt! Now, what kind of trouble can I get into next?... lol! On to my next project!

The quilt...check out the soft flannel backing...I was shocked I could find fabric that matched the quilt so perfectly!

    The elephant...he's 2 sided!

Thank you! And yes...I can hardly wait...even though this will be Grandbaby #2! Our first is a girl...and this will be her little brother! They'll be 2 years apart. Should be soooooo much fun!

Cute quilt. Fabric is so fun and lucky for you to find the backing in flannel that goes so well. Your little stuffed elephant is a great touch.
