I thought I was the only one that used fleece in my quilting. I get some questioning looks when I tell people I use fleece for my backing. I make my quilts to be used and loved, and fleece is perfect. No need for batting. I made all my adult children fleece/flannel quilts and hand tied them with embroidery floss to make them less bulky. Now I have discovered that I can quilt on the embroidery machine, so that is now my choice for finishing them. How did you finish the edges? I forgot to look.

It's easy to see why everyone loved it!! It reminds me a bit of Neapolitan Ice Cream! 8-) Love it -- the colors, too!!

I do them "envelope style" --- sew wrong sides together leaving a hole for turning, turn right side out, sew all around the edge. =)

Tried that once; didn't like my results. I am making a quilt for my grandson's college dorm. He will be an engineering major, so boring is right for him. I am making the front charcoal fleece with black/white 1" buffalo check back. I am going to try binding the edge with the check on the bias. Then I am going to do a machine quilt zig-zag thing, every 12 inches or so. We'll see how it goes. I'll try to send a picture when I am done, if it will show up.
