FINISHED MY "BOXER" QUILT
#1
I've been on a hot roll this wk. trying to get a cpl. of things finished before I leave for Ariz. in 2 wks.
I just took this out of the washer & drier since you've all convinced me they should be washed. It did turn out crinkled & I love that look. This is for a very special friend.
Here are pix.
The boxer on the back is to thank "dogpursemaker" of the QB.
When I put out a request for fabrics with boxers on it, she dug through her stash to find fabric with mixed dogs on it. She washed her fabric & fussy cut the boxers for me. Then she wouldn't let me pay her for them. So I used one of her boxers anyway since they didn't really work as blocks. Thank you so very much, "dogpursemaker".
I was very disappointed in how baggy the 4 patches are. I should have done FMQ on them instead of just criss crosses. Oh well. Done now

When I was a very little girl, my grandpa gave my big brother a boxer that he named Mike. Mike and I would nap together on the floor. I would lie across his midriff, head on one side and feet on the other. He was an awesome pet, except he was a runner. Every time the screen door opened, off he'd go. Finally, we had to give him to a family that lived on a farm out of town so he could run to his heart's content. I still think about that sweet guy.
