I have saved a picture of your quilt so I can try to make something like it someday. It is so cute and I like to sew squares in a design so someday I hope to make an elephant as nice looking as yours.

The pattern is from Bean Counter Quilts, designed by Lorrie Franz. She does have some other animals at her site http://www.beancounterquilts.com/

Thanks for the nice words. I think my daughter is definitely going to like this quilt. It washed up nice and soft, something I was worried about with the amount of quilting on it. It wasn't as complicated as it looked since much of it is strip pieced. She has you make strip sets of 2, 3, 4, and 5 strips, then you sub cut those. You definitely do need a design wall to put it together though. I ended up pressing all the seams open since it was a nightmare to think about which direction a seam should be pressed which way!
