Thanks for all the kind words! Theresa on the board sent the pattern to me. She also has a copy of her hanging with closeups that were helpful. It is basically a log cabin block with a 1 1/2" center and you add three "logs" to the top and bottom and four "logs" to the side giving it a more rectangular look. You add 1 1/2" corners to the four outside corners sewing across diagonally and trim to triangles. The stem is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" to which you add a 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" piece of the background fabric. Add a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangle to each side of the stem piece so it is as wide as the pumpkin cabin. Sew the stem section onto the pumpkin section and you have a completed block. I just decided how many blocks I wanted and how wide and long I wanted my hanging and added background fabric as sashing and borders to get the size I wanted. I had enough cut strips to do a patchy border but you really could do any border you like. I think if you print this out along with the completed hanging, you could easily make one for yourself.
Oh my goodness....I hope to be able to one day nod my head in understanding when reading instructions like this!! I'm definitely not at that point yet!! I haven't made the log cabin block yet, but it's on my list of things to do. When I master the block, I definitely would like to make the pumpkins. Again, your wall hanging is delightful!
This really wasn't hard! I have only been quilting since March and consider myself a beginner so give it a try. Just follow instructions for a basic log cabin block and then do the modifications. Good luck!

Awesome! I'm definitely going to have to start looking for and buying bits of orange so I can make one for next year! Yours came out fabulous!
