well, almost anyway, still need to get a binding on it, but it is quilted and squared up. kind of funny, 6 years ago my sister wanted to make her own quilt, i made quilts for my 3 brother's and my mom; moved on to get kids quilts done, my in-law's and other family members; a couple months ago while at my moms we were talking about my brother-in-law's quilt which took the viewers choice award at the fair last year...my sister turned around and said..."I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT ALL THESE QUILTS WINNING RIBBONS...YOU HAVEN'T EVEN MADE ME A QUILT YET!"
So, i got busy....her birthday is the middle of july. (and the fair is in August...who knows)
she lives 'in the woods' ina house like a hunting cabin, so i used all of my up-north flannels. it is so amazingly soft and (heavy) when i finished quilting it i layed it out on my bed then told my husband..."i don't want to give it to her...i want to keep it! it's too good for her..."
hubby says...it's her quilt; i have to give it up
so anyhow...here it is
a whole pic and a couple close-ups
